Mike Johnson, the Business Manager at St. Patrick Parish, brings a wealth of experience to the job.  Mike owned his own business for sixteen years, worked as Business Manager at Parnell St. Patrick for seven years, and did that same job at Holy Redeemer  Parish for two years.

Mike grew up in west Grand Rapids, moving to Lowell in the early 80’s. He converted to Catholicism after he and his wife were married and began having children. All six of their children attended Parnell St. Patrick School.

“One of the reasons that I wanted to come to work at Portland St. Patrick is because of the school,” he says. “I believe strongly in Catholic education and it’s good to see a parish work so hard to support its school. It will grow is we all stay focused on the positive.”

Mike says, “My favorite Bible reading is from the Gospel of John, chapter 20 verses 13-16.  It’s always been a reminder to me that God is there, even when I do not recognize God’s presence.”
